The physical aspect of Christianity is the proving grounds, the place where the rubber meets the road. This is the point where you really have to confront the issue of love that I mentioned before. Does God truly love you? Do you truly love God? In other words, have you both made a commitment to one another to make the relationship between you grow?
The greatest form of love any man can show is when he gives up his life for someone else. Some may think that this is what God did through his Son, but it isn't. In fact, what God did for us was much more than die for our sins. Jesus, knowing full well what he would go through on the cross, decided to set the attributes of his Deity aside, become a man, live the perfect life that we can't, and then give up his life for us. There is no way you will ever find anyone or anything to demonstrate greater love. There is nobody or nothing besides God in the position to show such great love. Who are we that God would step down from the position of worship and actually serve His creation? Why would he want to become a man in a world full of sin, the very thing he hates the most? Why would he willingly choose to die such a horrible death to guarantee our salvation if we are willing to take it? There's only one answer. He loves us. He
truly
loves us.
Now, the question hinges on you. Have you made that commitment with God? Do you even have a relationship with Him that you can work to improve? God is handing out free tickets to heaven for anyone, and sadly many people will reject them and reject Him in the process. He doesn't ask for you to do any work whatsoever for that. It is a gift - one that He worked hard to prepare for you. I beg you with all my heart not to reject this gift. Please just take a couple seconds of your life and pray this short prayer to accept his gift of love from the bottom of your heart.
God, I know that you love me even though I'm not perfect. I recognize what you have done for me, and ask for you to please forgive me and to also give me your gift of salvation. Amen

If you have prayed this prayer from the depths of your heart, you have already received His gift. You can now know that you will be in heaven, not based on what you have done, but based on what He has done for you. That in itself is reason for you to love him. He accepted you as you were, easy as that. Why would anyone not want to be a Christian? Why would anyone not want to love God? I pray for his richest blessings in your life as you continue to grow in your relationship with Him.
