I started this website about twenty years ago with hopes of leading people to know Christ and to help believers grow in their faith. The past twenty years have been met with many personal tests and challenges, but the message still stands just the same as it did except for the last page which was lost when I changed over from the free geocities hosting to the current server. Lord willing, the challenges I've gone through in the last twenty years will be turned into blessings in the future even on these pages.

I've learned that praying for wisdom is good and that understanding is better grasped from observation than experience. But, I would take Jonathan's friendship and Enoch's walk before all of the knowledge in the world. Nobody knows joy like the one who truly mourns, whose life is so concerned with others that he suffers in their absence or anguish. There is no joy in self seeking, but the mourner is comforted in his own trials. This is true.

I've been prideful and grasped after what wasn't mine. I've thought I could handle the temptation. I've given more than I had to give. I understand Jonah going the other direction, the worm of Saul, the good brother and the prodigal. Pride is a terrible teacher for a child of God.

There is always hope as long as you have breath, but now is the time to set the pride down. If you say in your heart you can handle it alone, remember; Adam walked with God in the garden and did the one thing he was told not to; Abraham stood with Him and two angels and doubted his promised seed; Moses stood in his presence and struck the Rock; David boasted in him before he slew Goliath and fell to adultery; Solomon was granted wisdom and had many wives; Elijah called His fire down and was scared of Jezabel. We are weak when we rely on ourselves and what we have already accomplished, but strength and hope are realized in the friendship and persistent walk with the Lord.
